Corpse Bride

I watched the DVD of Tim Burton's Corpse Bride last night, and immediately began criticizing it as is my nature. "It's too short" (only 73minutes long) "Too much artistry and not enough storytelling" etc. etc. Since the movie was such a huge technical endeavor, I watched all of the DVD extras. There were so many, watching them took almost as long as the movie! I have to say that seeing the extras made me enjoy the movie so much more. The puppetmakers segment was particularly excellent, showing how tiny mechanics in the puppets gave their facial features expression. In my opinion the extras outshine the movie, but still bring it up to a recommendation.
